Every piece listed on VINTORA has been graded - individually, by hand. Here's what that means in practice.
The piece is laid flat under consistent lighting. We check the brand label for authenticity and the care label for fabric composition - if we say 100% wool, that's not a guess. We turn the piece inside out. Seams, stitching, lining - all inspected for integrity. We run our hands across the fabric surface, checking for pilling, thinning, or texture inconsistency. Hardware - buttons, zippers, clasps - is tested. Collars, underarms, and hems are checked for staining or discolouration.
Then measurements. Chest, length, shoulder, sleeve - taken to the centimetre and listed in every product description. Vintage sizing is inconsistent across eras and brands, so the label size alone tells you very little. The measurements tell you everything.
If a piece passes all of this, it's graded Cream (near-new, zero visible flaws) or A-Grade (excellent vintage condition with very light wear). Anything below that standard doesn't list on VINTORA.
This process takes time - roughly 5 to 8 minutes per piece. But it's the reason you can buy with confidence. What you see on VINTORA has already been verified. Not described optimistically. Verified.
